Before we picked up the DeMarini White Steel for our ASA league in Oakland, our team struggled to put up 10-12 runs a game. With our one-year-old Louisville XXL, the bat had clearly lost it's pop after two seasons as our team bat. After noticing a number of teams with the 2009 DeMarini White Steel in their rotation, we decided to hop on softball.com and try the 2010 model.

When the bat arrived, we didn't have the opportunity to break it in through batting practice. The first two times through the order, we were not all that impressed. But as soon as we broke the bat in late in the game, our scoring issues vanished as our team began scoring 18-20 runs per game.

Bat Review: Easton SX70 Reflex
Rating: 2 out of 5 stars

Bat Review: Louisville Slugger TPS XXL
Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars
As our softball team graduated from single walled, aluminum, budget bats such as the Easton Hammer – the Louisville Slugger TPS XXL 2005 model was the first we decided to try.
With a double-wall design and CU31 alloy, the TPS XXL was perfect for a non-composite ASA league. The bat ran for about $120-150 online and was very easy to find.
First, the bat has great balance and took about 20 batting practice swings to break in. In the single/doublewall family, the ...
